Alta Outdoor Living has been named the exclusive regional dealer for Azenco outdoor structures. The family-owned deck and outdoor living company, owned and operated by brothers Jon and Jeff Potter, is now the only installer along Colorado’s Front Range authorized to sell and install the manufacturer’s full bioclimatic louvered lineup.
The company said it is pairing that exclusive access with Fortress Building Products steel framing this summer to offer engineered, motorized outdoor living systems built for year-round use. The dealership gives Alta Outdoor Living sole regional rights to a category of adaptable outdoor structures. Unlike a fixed cover that serves one purpose, a bioclimatic louvered system is designed to adjust to the weather, and the arrangement allows homeowners in the area to access the full product range through a single certified installer.
The announcement comes as demand for outdoor living space has continued to grow across the region. The company said more homeowners are treating patios and decks as year-round living areas rather than seasonal ones, which has increased interest in structures that can be adjusted for changing conditions rather than replaced or covered by hand. The exclusive dealership is intended to position the company to meet that demand with a single engineered product line.
The motorized louvered pergolas in the lineup open and close in response to conditions, allowing control over sun, shade, and airflow through the day. The range includes the Azenco R-Blade bioclimatic louvered pergola, the R-Shade fixed-roof pergola, and the K-Bana louvered cabana. The company also installs the Azenco R-Car flat-roof carport and fixed louvered pergolas, each specified for the snow load and wind conditions across the region. According to the company, the structures arrive as manufactured, engineered systems and are installed to the manufacturer’s tested specifications.
“Being the exclusive Azenco dealer here means homeowners have one certified source for these systems,” said Jeff Potter, co-owner of Alta Outdoor Living. “My brother and I are the fourth generation of our family to build. After 30 years and more than 1,000 projects, this is the kind of product we want our name on.”
The company said the structures are often installed over or alongside a deck and are handled as a single integrated project rather than separate builds. Coordinating the shade structure with the deck framing from the design stage is intended to keep loads, footings, and attachment points consistent across the finished space. That approach, the company said, is the reason it treats the pergola and the deck it sits on as one engineered system rather than two.
On the structural side, the company frames decks on Fortress Building Products steel, which it selects for resistance to warping, rot, and insect damage, combined with composite and aluminum finish options. Each project is set on helical piers or traditional concrete footings chosen for the soil at the site. The Front Range presents expansive clay soils that shift with moisture, freeze-thaw cycles through the winter, and a frost line that requires footings to reach well below grade. The company said these conditions inform both the materials it installs and the way it engineers the structures that carry them.
“Colorado’s climate is demanding, with intense sun at elevation, heavy snow loads, and wide temperature swings,” said Jon Potter, co-owner of Alta Outdoor Living. “Every material we choose has to account for that. The Azenco line was engineered for these conditions, which is part of why the exclusive dealership matters to us.”
The company said it provides a five-year workmanship warranty and installs materials that carry manufacturer material warranties of up to 50 years. It handles the design, permitting, and installation stages of each project and produces three-dimensional design renderings before construction begins, which allows homeowners to review a plan before work starts. Financing is available for larger projects.
