Olympic champion Jade Carey joins The Club Athletics for its Medford grand opening on October 24, 2026, with gym tours, prizes, giveaways and membership offers.
MEDFORD, OR, UNITED STATES, October 14, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — MEDFORD, Ore. Olympic champion Jade Carey will join The Club Athletics for its grand opening on Saturday, October 24, 2026. The celebration runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 163 Bateman Drive in Medford.
Families are invited to tour the new gym and learn about its programs. They’ll also have a chance to meet Carey, a two-time Olympic gold medalist.
The Club Athletics has preschool gymnastics for children ages 1 to 5, with parents participating in classes for ages 1 to 3. Recreational gymnastics and tumbling classes range from beginner to advanced and include options for boys. Athletes interested in competing can explore Xcel and Developmental Team programs, with pre-team helping gymnasts prepare for competition.
Founder Chelsea Shaw previously led the University of Oregon’s acrobatics and tumbling program and was named the 2017 NCATA Coach of the Year. Courtney Starks, who brings 32 years of gymnastics experience, leads the preschool and recreational programs. NCAA All-American Selena Harris-Miranda is also part of the coaching staff.
Shaw’s goal for the gym is to help children learn gymnastics while developing confidence, discipline and character they can carry beyond practice. The programs give children room to try a new activity, build their skills or work toward competing.
Families who attend the grand opening can become founding members and receive 25% off non-competitive programs for life.
